Connie Miller named CEO of Influence by Idaho Business Review
Connie Miller honored as 2014 CEO of Influence
Icon is thrilled to announce that our very own Connie Miller was recently named one 2014’s six CEOs of Influence by the Idaho Business Review!
This award places Connie in great company alongside some of Idaho’s most respected business leaders, including Steve Appleton (Micron), Bill Whitacre (J.R. Simplot), Scott Kreiling (Regence BlueShield), Orville Thompson (Scentsy), Sally Jeffcoat (Saint Alphonsus) and Jim Everett (YMCA).
Connie was recognized at a dinner and ceremony on May 22 at the Boise Centre. The following day, the IBR released a special “CEO of Influence” magazine, as well as exclusive video interviews with each of the award’s recipients. To read the magazine, click here.
The ceremony took place at the Boise Centre and many of Icon’s staff and Connie’s family were in attendance. After her video aired, she gave a heartfelt speech where she touched on her upbringing, her time in the Girl Scouts (both as a scout and later as an employee) and on the importance of her family through her long and successful career, which ultimately led her to the helm of Icon Credit Union admist the Great Recession. Connie spoke about the challenges and opportunities she faced as a new leader of a small but promising credit union and credited her successes to having an amazing board of directors and a wonderful team of employees around her, assisting with carrying out her mission of creating an organization guided by five cultural values: integrity, drive, enthusiasm, respect and leadership.
